I think everyone has the desire to succeed. Whether in life or our careers. Do you have the motivation to make it happen though? When life keeps smacking you down do you have the desire and motivation to pull yourself up by your boot straps, shake yourself off and keep going?
We all have days when we feel like the world is against us. My question is what sets apart the people who succeed and those who do not? They give up!
If you research some of the most successful people you can think of they were all shot down. They didn't make it BIG their first try. I think they were just stubborn enough to keep trying.
Analyze and keep going, don't give up!

Perceptions
I'm learning how I percieve myself may not neccessarily be the way others percieve me.
That's hard for me to digest.
On my journey to self improvement, I'm going to write down how I perceive myself.
Then, I'm going to ask several of my friends to tell me how THEY perceive me.
How do those differ or are the same?
I'm a go with the flow kind of person. But I know that in order to improve myself I must analyze where I'm at now and where I want to be in the future.
My stepfather used to constantly ask me starting when I was about 12 years old. Where do you want to be in a year? In 3 years? In 5 years? Yes, I seriously think that's overkill for a twelve year old. I know now he had good intentions. He was trying to get me to think about my goals.
So after I get the perception thing over with. I'll start thinking about both long term and short term goals.
